Wolf & Butterfly
Lately I’ve been reflecting on the symbolism of spirit animals, and two have always called to me: Wolf and Butterfly.
Wolf reminds me to trust my own instincts. To stop looking outside myself for permission and instead listen to the quiet wisdom within. Wolf walks her own path, guided by intuition, courage, and an inner knowing that cannot be taught.
Wolf is often associated with:
- Trusting your own instincts
- Walking your own path
- Loyalty and deep connection
- The balance between independence and belonging
- The teacher and guide archetype
What strikes me is that Wolf doesn’t follow the crowd. She listens to her inner knowing. She doesn’t need permission to follow her own path.
Wolf energy often appears during times when someone is learning to trust themselves more than external validation
Butterfly speaks to transformation. She reminds me that growth is rarely comfortable, but it is often necessary. She teaches us that we are allowed to shed old versions of ourselves and become something new.
Wolf and Butterfly together tell an interesting story.
One is grounded, instinctual, and strong.
The other is transformative, delicate, and ever-evolving.
Together they say:
Trust who you are becoming.
Walk your own path, even when it leads through transformation.
You do not need to remain who you were in order to honor who you are becoming.
Together, Wolf and Butterfly feel like a beautiful reminder of the journey many of us are walking as women. Trusting ourselves more deeply. Releasing what no longer fits. Becoming who we were always meant to be.
Perhaps the greatest act of courage is not becoming someone else, but remembering who we truly are.
What spirit animal have you always felt drawn to?
