I came across a quote recently that stopped me in my tracks:
“The shift is...from doing to being, from searching to remembering.”
The more I sat with those words, the more I realized they perfectly describe where I am on my journey.
For most of my life, I was searching.
Searching for answers.
Searching for purpose.
Searching for something that felt missing, even when I couldn’t explain what it was.
I was always looking outside of myself for the thing that would finally make me better, more successful, more confident...more, more, more.
I am still searching....
But it no longer comes from desperation.
It comes from curiosity.
The difference feels profound.
The shift from doing to being has been just as powerful.
For some time now, I have been devoted to working with Goddess energy. In the beginning, it was a whisper, that turned into a practice. A discipline. A path I was trying to learn.
But recently, something has changed.
It feels different now
It feels like remembering.
I am not trying to embody the Goddess anymore.
I am simply being her.
Being present.
Being aligned.
Being connected.
Being fully here in this moment.
And in that space, I have discovered something unexpected.
The thing I spent my whole life searching for was never outside of me.
It was me.
Beneath the layers.
Beneath the conditioning.
Beneath the expectations, fears, and stories.
I am remembering who I have always been.
Finding myself again.
There is a deep sense of peace that has arrived with that realization.
Not because I have all the answers.
Not because the journey is complete.
In truth, I hope I never stop learning, growing, and evolving.
But for the first time, I feel calm.
I feel grounded.
I feel like I have found the path I was always meant to walk.
And the most beautiful part is that it feels strangely familiar, as though my soul recognizes it.
Like coming home after being away for a very long time.
The joy, fulfillment, and connection I spent years searching for are no longer things I am chasing.
They are things I am finally allowing myself to experience.
…and that has changed how I see the world and myself in it.
My hope for you, if you are reading this, is that you give yourself permission to trust your own journey. Even if you don’t have all the answers yet, even if you still find yourself searching from time to time.
Perhaps what you are looking for is not something you need to find at all. Perhaps it is already within you, quietly waiting to be remembered. And when you are ready to claim it, you may discover that the peace, wisdom, and wholeness you have been seeking have been yours all along.
